Inside the New Recovery Space
The latest addition comes as an extension of its fitness and spa offering in the form of a new Aktiv Recovery Lounge designed by FitnessDesignGroup and powered by Hyperice performance technology.
“The importance of wellness within hospitality continues to accelerate as guests increasingly realize that ‘Health is Wealth’ and demand more authentic and holistic experiences. The prestigious Claremont Resort & Spa is a blueprint for exercise experience across hospitality globally and now includes a new battery of modalities in rejuvenation and recovery,” said Emlyn Brown, the global vice president of well-being for Accor Hotels.
The modernization of the new recovery space was led by the functional design team at FitnessDesignGroup. In addition, it was supplied by Aktiv Solutions via their collaboration with Hyperice.
The space features Gym Rax personal recovery bays. Each bay provides digital guidance and a wide array of recovery-based equipment designed to complement pre and post training sessions. The new space was developed to enhance the guest experience. In addition, it creates a bridge between the intensity of gym training sessions and the Claremont’s most coveted spa services.
“Recovery has become such an important integration regarding the balance of our guests’ and members’ well-being experience. This new space serves to both invite and guide one toward the benefits of active recovery. The feedback has been outstanding,” said Kevin Macdonald, the director of the club and spa. “We appreciate our ongoing partnerships with Aktiv and Hyperice. Together they have truly created a fantastic system to smartly program our offering in recovery.”
