At Princeton University, the Campus Recreation team has developed a unique program called Staff Engagement Experience (SEE) workshops to empower student staff through professional and personal development opportunities. Established in 2015, these workshops aim to provide more than just on-the-job training, offering skills that students can carry into their future careers and lives beyond campus.
Jessica Ward, the senior associate director of Athletics and the director of Campus Recreation at Princeton, and Maria Lauron–Ramos, the coordinator of Marketing and Staff Development, share about the mission of these workshops and on a recent session on marketing job experiences was facilitated in partnership with the Center for Career Development. By integrating real student staff job descriptions from Campus Recreation, participants learned how to bolster their résumés and interview better.
