 MISSION

The Radford University Division of Student Affairs is committed to the learning and development of students and their academic and individual success. We foster a campus culture and environment where students’ perspectives are valued, citizenship and personality are cultivated, and students are engaged in a vibrant co-curricular experience nurturing excellence and success. Student Affairs supports a culture of evidence where inquiry, self-reflection, personal assessment and continuous improvement are expected and supported.

  FACILITIES

Student Recreation and Wellness Center: The new Recreation and Wellness Center houses fitness, active recreation and a wellness space designed to help students live healthy lifestyles. The 115,000-square-foot facility is home to Intramurals, RU Outdoors, Fitness and Wellness, and the Sports Club program. Other highlights of the facility include: a 3-court gymnasium, a multipurpose activity court, two racquetball courts, 15,000 square feet of strength and cardio fitness space, four group exercise studios and an indoor track that spans two levels.

Peters Hall Recreational Facilities: Peters Hall, located in the middle of campus, is an academic facility and is used by sports clubs and organizations for practices and rehearsals. Home to activity rooms, a strength and conditioning lab, climbing wall and full-court gymnasium, Peters Hall offers many amenities and options for various student activities.

Outdoor Recreation Complex: Student Recreation and Wellness operates several outdoor venues to assist with our various programming needs. The Student Recreation Outdoor Complex is a new seven acre, fully lighted, artificial turf field project that will accommodate flag football, soccer field and many other sports. The complex also has an outdoor basketball court and two sand volleyball courts.

  PROGRAMMING
