Zero Runner Creating a totally new workout modality, the unique Zero Runner from Octane Fitness is generating excitement on cardio floors at campus rec centers nationwide as the first true alternative to a treadmill. Delivering all the benefits of running, the Zero Runner enables virtually anyone to walk, jog or run safely and comfortably, without repetitive stressful impact. And without a motor, belt or deck, the Zero Runner offers superior ease of ownership, along with significantly reduced operation, maintenance and repair costs.

Zero-Impact Running™

Unlike anything else, the Zero Runner features independent hip and knee joints to replicate natural running motion without any impact to the body. Users choose their own pace to walk, jog and run, with strides up to 58 inches, mimicking their strides outdoors without all the pounding of a treadmill deck. Plus, exercisers can monitor their stride length throughout workouts to maintain consistency and proper form.*

With 15 resistance levels, the Zero Runner accommodates aspiring runners and beginners up to elite competitors. Contoured handlebars facilitate a natural arm swing and upright posture.

Among the 11 programs are interval training and distance and calorie goals, along with Octane Fitness’ exclusive CROSS CiRCUIT regimen that combines cardio intervals on the Zero Runner with strength and stretching exercises to correct muscular imbalances and improve overall performance.

CROSS CiRCUIT is ideal for small group training, with the optional two PowerBlock adjustable dumbbells and integrated weight stand on the machine.

For today’s tech-savvy exercisers, the Zero Runner comes with a standard console, which features a large LED screen with integrated capacitive buttons; or a smart console, a 10” glass capacitive screen with web browsing, video streaming, mobile device charging and more. Add-on options include a personal viewing screen and wireless 900Mhz capabilities.

Better than a Treadmill

Campus rec centers also benefit from the Zero Runner, particularly compared to a treadmill:

  • Novelty – Exercisers love new equipment, and the Zero Runner is different, fun to use and motivational.
  • Accessibility – New runners can get started safely, former runners can run again and aging runners can extend their running longevity.
  • Cordless operation** – Facilities have more flexibility in placement, and do not incur electricity costs.
  • Compact footprint – Smaller than a treadmill, the Zero Runner is space-efficient.
  • Minimal maintenance – Without a motor, belt or deck, the Zero Runner requires limited maintenance, which means fewer demands of staff.
  • Reduced service – Fewer moving parts means significantly less repair needs and downtime, saving time, money and hassles.
  • Whisper-quiet – This silent machine is a welcome addition to noisy rec centers.
