Alvarado Optical Turnstiles Control Access at New MizzouRec Center

The University of Missouri has selected Alvarado’s SU5000 optical turnstiles to control student and staff access at its newly renovated student rec center.

The Alvarado turnstiles are integrated with the university’s existing membership and visitor management software. To enter the facility, users self-scan entry credentials at the turnstiles, providing a quick and easy entry process for users and staff. In the event that an unauthorized user attempts to tailgate on a valid entry, the SU5000 recognizes the attempted entry and notifies nearby personnel.

The installed SU5000’s provide the perfect blend of technology, practical functionality and high-end design. The rounded lines, contoured edges and crystal clear panel materials blend beautifully with the recreation center décor. The university also selected two available aesthetic options. Their clear acrylic panels were etched with the MizzouRec logo and LED illumination in campus colors.

Benefits of the SU5000 optical turnstile:

  • Integrates seamlessly with membership and visitor management systems
  • Allows users to self-scan IDs, automating the entry process
  • Blends beautifully in modern recreation centers
  • Highly reliable operation

“Our goal is provide our clients with products and solutions that fit their needs. We also stress the benefits of working with an established U.S. owned manufacturer with years of experience”, said Nick Simon, Alvarado National Sales Manager.

For 60 years, Alvarado has been the choice for Campus Recreation and Wellness Centers throughout North America and Worldwide. Alvarado has hundreds of campus recreation installations. Recent SU5000 university installations include: Auburn University, UCLA’s Wooden Center, University of Colorado, University of Nebraska and many others.
