The Past, Present and Future Revolution of REGUPOL
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LinkedIn

Matthew Montano’s journey with REGUPOL has been — in his own words — an organic evolution.

“I started with the company after graduating from West Chester University,” said Montano. “I was hired as a customer service representative and immersed myself in the business to get to the position I’m in today.”

As the current sales director of the sports division, Montano works closely with REGUPOL’s distribution, the A&D community and customers. “My sports background, drive and mentorship here at REGUPOL have aided my success and the path set forward,” he shared.

Interestingly, evolution was the same word Montano used to describe REGUPOL as a whole. The company has been around for 70 years and is known for its sports and multi-purpose surfaces, acoustic underlayments, track and field surfaces, and much more. Since it started, REGUPOL has evolved considerably to adapt to changing market demands and technology.

“Some of the most significant evolutions include the development of innovative product lines, expanding into new markets, implementing sustainable practices and continuously improving manufacturing processes,” said Montano.

Charting Success and Evolution of REGUPOL

Milestones include the creation and first sale of REGUPOL safety tiles in May 1981, the development of Regufoam in September 2002 and achieving the Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze in September 2022.

“These evolutions have positioned REGUPOL as a leader in the industry, known for its high-quality products and commitment to environmental responsibility,” said Montano.

In fact, it’s the company’s vision to be a global leader in excellent, sustainable and innovative solutions for sports, recreation and commercial applications. Montano said they have an unwavering commitment to these values as they’re the foundation of REGUPOL’s achievements.

REGUPOL

Ensuring Excellence

This is reflected in some of the unique benefits REGUPOL’s products offer. Products feature:

  • Superior shock absorption. REGUPOL’s high-quality materials offer exceptional shock absorption. This reduces the risk of injuries during physical activities, providing safer environments for students and athletes.
  • Durability and longevity. REGUPOL products are known for their durability and long lifespan, making them a cost-effective investment for campus recreation facilities. They can withstand heavy use and impact and maintain their performance over time.
  • Customization options. REGUPOL offers a range of customization options. As such, campus rec professionals can tailor flooring solutions to their specific needs and preferences. This flexibility sets REGUPOL apart in meeting the unique requirements of each facility.
  • Sustainability. REGUPOL is committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Its products are made from recycled materials and are designed to be eco-friendly, making them a preferred choice for campus recreation professionals who prioritize sustainability.

“Our products are known for their exceptional performance in various applications,” said Montano. “Furthermore, our dedication to environmental sustainability sets us apart, as we prioritize using recycled materials and eco-friendly production processes.”

These key advantages to REGUPOL’s products are because of its commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and design. The entire company works to create state-of-the-art products that exceed the highest performance and sustainability standards.

Working Toward the Future of REGUPOL Today

In effect, Montano noted they are far from done evolving. “REGUPOL is currently focused on expanding its product line to meet our customers’ growing demands,” he said. “We constantly innovate and develop solutions to address the market’s evolving needs. Stay tuned for exciting updates as we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in our industry.”

However, pushing the boundaries in technology and quality isn’t the only place REGUPOL looks to constantly evolve. Montano said a large part of their focus is on ensuring customer satisfaction and cultivating robust client relationships. He shared this continual emphasis has unequivocally propelled REGUPOL’s growth.

And just like customer care is essential to REGUPOL’s success, so is the care of employees. Montano only had positive things to say about the company since joining in 2011. “One of the aspects I love most about my current position is the collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and innovation,” he shared. “At REGUPOL, I find it incredibly fulfilling to be part of a company that values creativity, continuous improvement and sustainability in everything we do. The sense of purpose and the opportunity to make a positive impact through our products and solutions are truly rewarding aspects of working here.”

All in all, Montano’s organic evolution within REGPUOL reflects the company’s own significant growth. But, even with all the change, the company’s mission has never wavered. “Our mission is to create products that enhance performance, safety and comfort while prioritizing environmental responsibility and customer satisfaction,” said Montano. “We’re committed to pushing the boundaries of technology and design to deliver exceptional products that meet the evolving needs of our customers worldwide.”
