Product Specialist to Support Growing Demand for Improved Event and Employee Scheduling in Campus Recreational Facilities
SubItUp, (www.SubItUp.com), the employee scheduling and shift management software platform, welcomes Akaylah Jaeke as Product Specialist. In her new role, Akaylah will be dedicated to furthering the company’s significant presence in the higher education campus rec market.
Bob Cote, founder and CEO of SubItUp noted, “We are very fortunate to have Akaylah – and her ability to relate and speak so credibly to the market – join our team.” He added, “She will be instrumental in connecting the technical capabilities of SubItUp with campus rec planners looking for a better way to schedule employees.”
Akaylah brings unique insight into the community of campus rec, including the challenges and priorities of managers as well as student employees. According to Akaylah, “Campus rec is definitely a family environment – meaning that managers care that student employees learn skills that will help them succeed beyond their academic career.” Mangers rely on the efficiencies of SubItUp’s scheduling platform to relieve them of repetitive, time-consuming tasks that detract from these student development efforts.
Starting with her undergraduate studies at Washburn University, and continuing with her graduate program at Oklahoma State University, Akaylah led campus rec fitness programs before transitioning into operations as a Fitness Coordinator at OSU. Subsequently, she became the Recreation and Fitness/Wellness Coordinator at Northern Arizona University, managing a facility that served over 600,000 patrons annually. Akaylah has owned and managed her own fitness business, and holds credentials as a Group Fitness Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Health Coach.
“I’ve worked with 8 – 10 employee and event scheduling systems directly, and I know what works and what doesn’t.”, commented Akaylah. “SubItUp really knows what campus rec managers are looking for. They are great at listening to customer feedback and then creating a solution that works.”
Akaylah recently relocated to Madison, Wisconsin with her 9 month old daughter, Afton, and her husband Erik who just assumed the role of Associate Director of Programs at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She can be contacted at 617.401.8733 x 304, or ajaeke@subitup.com.
