BeaverFit is all about creating unique outdoor training experiences.

Autumn Johnson, the director of sports and wellness at Mount Saint Mary’s University Los Angeles (MSU-LA) said that’s exactly what they wanted to create. “MSMU-LA is a partner in the Healthier Campus Initiative through the Partnership for a Healthier America. By incorporating an additional outdoor fitness space, this has kept the initiative on course,” said Johnson.

Below, the director dives further into MSMU-LA’s partnership with BeaverFit and how it’s been the solution for one of the campus’ challenges:

CR: What challenges did your rec center face?

AJ: MSMU-LA wanted to create a unique outdoor functional fitness training area for our students and further our initiative with the Partnership for a Healthier America.

CR: What was the solution?

AJ: BeaverFit provided a custom Performance Locker as the new MSMU-LA outdoor training center with weather-proof rigs and secure storage. There’s a real sense of community around the new locker. Graduate students are assisting undergraduate workouts, and physical therapy students are sharing tips and workouts, in addition to regularly scheduled total body conditioning classes.

CR: What else should campus recreation directors know about BeaverFit and your partnership with them?

AJ: BeaverFit is the leading outdoor fitness vendor specializing in creating unique solutions to fit your training needs. The BeaverFit Performance Locker really allows the facility to extend its footprint outdoors. BeaverFit was the only vendor with a product that was specifically engineered for outdoor use and is warranty-protected.
