Marc Loomer and Rebecca Peoples hold the "Most Likely to Purchase" accolade certificate that Matrix Fitness won at the 2022 Leadership Summit.

Every year, Marc Loomer of Matrix Fitness looks forward to the Campus Rec Leadership Summit.

“We relish the role of premier sponsor every year,” said Loomer, the national sales manager — campus recreation at Matrix Fitness. “The attendees are always so appreciative and supportive. The dates are circled on our calendars a year in advance.”

Sure enough, those dates are set in Loomer’s mind for 2023. Why? Well, Matrix Fitness returns as the premier sponsor for the 2023 Leadership Summit.

Sixty-plus campus recreation leaders alongside limited sponsors will gather at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida, on June 20-22.

Attendees and sponsors will get to enjoy the beautiful resort that includes the Stillwater Spa and Salon, a lazy river and adventure pool, and stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, they will venture on a private island excursion, and get to tour the recreation and aquatics facilities at Florida Gulf Coast University. Check out the full event itinerary here.

Roundtable discussions — as well as a special Mental Health Crisis Panel discussion — are sprinkled throughout the event.

Roundtable Topics Include:

  • Navigating Your Impact
  • Deeper Dive into EDI
  • Staffing & Retention
  • The Changing Landscape of Campus Recreation

For Rebecca Peoples, the collegiate recreation east region director at Matrix Fitness, the education in those conversations is a highlight for her at every Summit. “I love deep dive conversations with top leaders in campus recreation on moving the well-being industry forward,” she said. “This year I’m most excited about being present to learn from our experts assembled during the Mental Health Crisis Panel discussion.”

Those dialogues oftentimes lead to relationships that last well-beyond the 2.5-day experience. It’s a fact Loomer knows firsthand and something he is looking forward to once again as the premier sponsor.

“The Campus Rec Leadership Summit is the most intimate setting for learning and networking I’ve ever attended,” said Loomer. “All the interactions assure nobody leaves the Summit a stranger.”

The Summit wouldn’t be possible without the support of Matrix Fitness returning as the premier sponsor and we can’t thank them enough for all they do.
