Shown is one of three models by Aquatic Access that meet or exceed the ADA standards for public pools, which include independent operation and easy seat return from the opposite location. It’s totally powered by water pressure, with the water being recycled into the pool. Headrests, flip-up armrests, and chest and lap belts are offered. Weight capacity is 350 lbs. Installation requires a socket in the deck from which the lift can be removed with no tools required. A socket cover is included for the 2-inch hole in the deck when the lift is removed.
Aquatic Access’s ADA-compliant pool and spa lifts have a simple and elegant design, where few moving parts use the free and available power of water to provide very dependable and durable lifts. Regular city water pressure from a hose or plumbed-in line is the sole power. Upper and lower knobs in reach of the rider control the up/down/stop movement. Turn the knob, and fresh water enters the cylinder causing the seat the seat to rise and turn. The lift remains ready for use all day with no energy being expended. As the seat descends the 2.2 gallons of water recycles into the pool replacing evaporated water — so there are no energy costs.
There are no batteries to charge and replace, no expensive electronic components or extensive maintenance schedules — just inspection and the occasional cleaning and polishing. Any handy person with common tools can install replacement parts.
The savings in electricity, batteries and parts replacement, maintenance calls, and staff’s time and attention can make quite a difference in cost over the product lifetime, especially when products can last over 30 years, as a number of Aquatic Access lifts have done.
Bariatric and other custom design solutions are offered. Examples: lifts from docks to boats and water, from boats to water; lifts for rehab centers with a weight capacities up to 1,000 lb., lifts for theme park attractions, lifts for water park attractions, and lifts with baskets for canine aquatic therapy. Aquatic Access engineers design to the customer’s needs.
Aquatic Access products come with a six-year limited warranty on all stainless steel parts, and a two-year limited warranty on all plastic parts. Simple is smart, energy-efficient and cost-effective — good for the earth and your bottom line.
