MISSION

Campus Recreation is committed to providing the finest programs, services, facilities and equipment to enrich the University of Idaho learning experience. We strive to foster a lifetime appreciation and involvement in wellness activities and recreational sports for our students, faculty, staff and the community. Our programs are aimed at assisting with the physical, emotional, social and cultural needs of our patrons.

 FACILITIES 

The University of Idaho Student Recreation Center provides an opportunity for busy students, faculty and staff to workout, play and relax. With more than 80,000 square feet, the building features including an indoor track, fitness classrooms, 2 full-sized gyms, a Multi-Activity court, weight training areas, cardio exercise equipment and the tallest climbing tower on any college campus, standing at 55-feet.

FUN FACTS

  • Our award winning Outdoor Program has been providing trips, activity and education for over 40 years.
  • The Outdoor Rental Center has the largest selection of outdoor rental equipment in the Northwest and we are open to the public.
  • Our Wellness Programs offer over 100 fitness classes throughout the week.
  • Intramural Sports has over 50 sport activities for both recreational and competitive play.
  • We are the largest student employer on campus with more than 240 student employees.
  • We host monthly Late Night at the Rec activities; our most popular even is grocery bingo.
  • We have over 28 active sport clubs with over 400 student athletes.
