The 2022 Campus Rec Leadership Summit will take place June 14-16, 2022 at the five-star Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage in Rancho Mirage, California. Fifty campus rec executives alongside limited sponsors will gather for two and a half days of roundtable discussions, networking and fun. The Summit is an intimate event designed to connect and build relationships among peers and suppliers.

The event kicks off the first morning with the Campus Rec Golf Scramble at the Indian Wells golf course. Then, attendees will dive into five roundtables over the next two and half days.

Topics include:

  • The EDI Conversation Continued — this will be a special panel of industry experts presenting on the topic
  • Financial Solutions 101
  • Leadership Staff Strategies
  • Enhance Your Programming
  • The Future of Campus Recreation

The moderator for the Summit, Laurie Braden of Louisiana State University, will be leading attendees and sponsors through discussions that will produce tangible takeaways and insights for any recreation department.

Jen Gudaz, the director of Physical Education and Recreation at Cornell University, shares about her time at the 2021 Summit.“The Campus Rec Magazine Summit was inspiring after a year of constant change. The ability to sit face-to-face at a table with colleagues to learn, listen and grow was exactly what I needed to recharge and move into the new challenges we are facing,” said Gudaz.

This year, the Summit has been extended to allow for an educational but relaxing two and a half day itinerary that allots for more downtime and casual networking.

The Summit also facilitates a lot of fun. Attendees will participate in ice breaker games and competitions, as well as a morning guided hike sponsored by Technogym.

But of course, this event would not be possible without our sponsors. We want to give a huge thank you to each of our partners who are currently sponsoring the 2022 Leadership Summit: our premier partner Matrix; our diamond partners Freemotion Fitness, GameTime, Keiser, SportsArt and Technogym; and our platinum partners ACE, Ecore Athletic, NASM/AFAA, S3Design, Sasaki Associates and Turf Tank.
