Year-End Review

It’s time for a year-end review.

Spring has sprung. The days are longer, flowers are blooming and temperatures are rising; at least here in Louisville, Kentucky. But as the bears come out of hibernation, chances are your school year is coming to an end. Finals are starting and pretty soon students will be flocking home to enjoy summer vacation.

As the school year comes to an end, now is the perfect time to review the academic year. Examining past mistakes, challenges and accomplishments is a great way to learn and improve in the future. Take a few minutes to answer some of these questions and have some of your co-workers do the same. Then compare your answers. Maybe you will find a common theme that will help determine what you should focus on next year.

 1) What were some highlights of the past year?

2) Over the past year, what is one accomplishment you are most proud of?

3) What was one of the biggest challenges you faced?

4) What is one example of a time the entire department worked well as a team?

5) How could the entire department work better as a team next year?

6) If you could change one thing for next year, what would it be?

7) What is one or two goals you want to accomplish next year?
