Campus Rec Magazine isn’t afraid of change and this year, there is something new coming to the 2024 Leadership Summit.

That is the Summit Roundtable Committee (SRC).

Composed of five directors, the SRC will meet with Campus Rec Magazine’s leadership throughout the year to come up with the roundtable topics and case studies for the 2024 event. Their input, experience and knowledge of the Summit will be essential to continually impacting and educating this industry.

This year’s SRC was chosen based on their displayed leadership skills, their knowledge and expertise in the industry, and their experience as previous Summit attendees. Meet the 2024 SRC below:

  • David Davenport, the director at Austin Peay State University
  • Jay Frain, the director of Recreation at the University of Connecticut *Update: Bhavin Parekh of UCONN will replace Jay Frain due to a schedule conflict
  • Jen Gudaz, the director of Physical Education and Recreation at Cornell University
  • Tiffany Lomax, the interim AVC/director of Recreation at North Carolina Central University
  • Grady Sheffield, the director of Campus Recreation at Towson University

Through the 2023 Summit survey input and discussions with the SRC, the hope is that the education at next year’s event will be the best yet. As always, Campus Rec Magazine does what it does for the director, so a huge shout out to this year’s SRC for stepping in to ensure an educating and empowering experience will be provided.

The Leadership Summit will be at The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas. Set in the secluded Hill Country, this resort offers exceptional amenities including a water park and golf club. Sixty attendees will come alongside event sponsors for a time of networking, connection and education.
