If you’re ready to reopen your doors, Matrix has created reopening assets to help support the transition. They’ve listened to rec professionals and collaborated with experts inside and outside the industry to develop the following resources:

The Facility Reopening Guide covers a variety of operational changes to take into consideration as you prepare your rec center to reopen. In the cleaning guidelines and maintenance tasks, find education on the proper care and supplies to be used for cleaning and disinfecting Matrix equipment. Ideas on operating protocols, alleviating campus community members’ fears and questions to ask yourself about your center moving forward are also offered. The guide includes an equipment start-up checklist with restart instructions for facility staff to perform on the equipment that has been off during the extended closures.

Matrix also released an in-facility marketing support package that is available for immediate download and highlights reminders of distancing and cleaning throughout your facility. Both printed materials and digital files come with a download and emphasize the cleaning and safety operations through several mediums, spreading awareness across the center. The printed assets include postcards to inform people of your open status, changes they will see around the rec center, posters with general protocol reminders and hangtags that can be placed on equipment to indicate which pieces are off-limits in compliance with distancing.

The digital assets display similar messaging with welcome back greetings, frequent cleaning reminders for end users, and social distancing “cheering you on from a distance” encouragements that can be implemented on TV screens and touchscreen consoles.

Each support asset Matrix has prepared for their partners, in dedication to their total solutions promise during this time, is available on matrixtotalsolutionssupport.com. The recently released educational content includes “Offering Group Training with Confidence,” where Rebecca Cofod, the group training solutions director, covers timely tips on group training operations moving forward.
