Matrix Fitness is preparing to transform the industry all over again at IHRSA 2020 with a reimagined offering that makes it easier for fitness facilities of all kinds to find solutions specific to their unique goals. The international fitness powerhouse will be introducing a reinvented slat-belt treadmill, three new cardio series and five new consoles while offering tours of their flexible digital ecosystem, live programming demos and more. Show attendees and members of the media are invited to meet with Matrix, booth 2509 at IHRSA 2020, March 18–21 in San Diego, California, at the San Diego Convention Center.
“This is an exciting time for everyone at Matrix,” said Mark Zabel, the global chief marketing officer and president of U.S. commercial division for Matrix. “From our new slat-belt treadmill to our new cardio series to group training solutions to all the technology we bring to the table, we truly do offer something special for every fitness facility.”
Matrix will highlight a variety of new-to-market products and updated technologies at this year’s show including:
Performance Plus Treadmill
Show attendees can be the first to see the new slat-belt Performance Plus Treadmill from Matrix, designed to set fitness facilities apart with an exceptional running experience. The forward-thinking new cardio platform sets a new standard with a shock-absorbing slat-belt and a high-efficiency drive that make even the most intense runs feel comfortable, solid and smooth, while outlasting traditional treadmills in the most intense environments. Despite this advancement in technology, a range of smart features make service and maintenance easier than traditional slat-belt treadmill designs.
All-New Cardio Portfolio
Matrix Fitness is also launching an all-new cardio offering in an effort to make it easier for customers to find fitness solutions specific to their needs. Their three new cardio series are compatible with five reimagined consoles for combinations of performance and technology that can accommodate virtually any fitness facility’s budget, space and members. Fitness facility owners and managers will be able to browse the new platforms and consoles for the first time at IHRSA.
Connected Solutions
Matrix will be showcasing their Connected Solutions portfolio as well. This complete digital ecosystem offers a variety of powerful hardware and software solutions to enhance every aspect of the exercise experience for club owners, trainers, end users and service technicians. Ultimately, facilities can leverage these solutions to increase retention, build engagement, enhance differentiation, maximize ROI, boost revenue and improve acquisition of new members. Show attendees will have the opportunity to tour the complete suite of integrated technology at the Connected Solutions Pavilion in the Matrix booth 2509.
MX4 (SGT and Active)
Another highlight of the Matrix offering at IHRSA will be their MX4 programming. Attendees will be able to learn about their original MX4 Small Group Training program designed to address cardio, power, strength and endurance in scalable, accessible sessions for fitness enthusiasts. Furthermore, Matrix will showcase their new MX4 Active programming designed to engage older and de-conditioned adults in a way right for their abilities and to keep them coming back for more.
“We’re extremely proud of all the hard work that has gone into this leap forward,” said Zabel. “When you work with passionate people like we do at Matrix, everyone in the company has a feeling of ownership in the work. The success we’ve had feels well-earned, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
In addition to introducing new products, Matrix will hold a variety of live demos and events in booth 2509. Matrix Master Trainers will provide demonstrations of MX4 Small Group Training and MX4 Active, so owners and trainers can see how the combination of exclusive training tools and original programming can help them attract and retain more members of all ability levels. Matrix Ride demonstrations will show how the Matrix training cycles and colorful target training programming combine to create cycling classes with broad appeal. A demonstration of Sprint 8 programming will take participants beyond HIIT for a 20-minute workout, scientifically proven to burn fat and build muscle in ways fad workouts can’t.
Matrix will also present keynote speaker James Clear, an entrepreneur and best-selling author of Atomic Habits: How to Get 1% Better Every Day. Finally, Dr. Karlie Intlekofer, Ph.D., global wellness researcher for Matrix, will be presenting Leveraging the Science of Behavior Change to Improve Member Retention to help facility managers and trainers identify strategies that motivate members and support exercise adherence.
