Matrix Offers Superior Service at UTM

Chris Stachewicz, the director of campus recreation at the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM), partnered with Matrix Fitness to get exactly what his facility needed, and at a fair price. Below, he shares his experience working with the company:

Campus Rec: How were you introduced to Matrix and why did you decide to partner with them?

Chris Stachewicz: UTM was looking to update our cardio equipment and refresh our fitness area. Additionally, we were looking to add a functional training space. I was put in touch with Brian Ferguson, the Matrix representative in Tennessee and Kentucky. Brian stopped in to talk to us about our needs and was very helpful from start to finish.

CR: What are the benefits for your rec center as a result of this partnership?

CS: We had a budgeted amount of money we were looking to spend and were wanting to get the most for our money. Matrix really worked with us to get exactly what we needed and at a fair price. We were able to get more equipment than we had originally planned. Brian’s dedication to making the customer happy allowed us to equip two spaces in our facility instead of just one.

CR: How do students benefit because of this partnership?

CS: We were able to give the students new top-of-the-line equipment they deserve and hopefully will be excited to use.

CR: How have you been pleasantly surprised by working with Matrix?

CS: They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience. They had a simple trade-in process. We know if there is anything we need, Brian is very responsive and will take care of things for us.

CR: What would you tell other recreation professionals about working with Matrix?

CS: From the quality of the equipment to the extended warranties offered and the superior service we have received, UTM campus recreation has nothing but great things to say, and we highly recommend Matrix Fitness.
