Campus Rec Magazine would like to officially welcome back Matrix Fitness as the premier sponsor for the 2025 Campus Rec Leadership Summit.

“Matrix has proudly been the premier sponsor for the Campus Rec Leadership Summit since its inception,” said Rebecca Peoples, the Collegiate Recreation East Region director. “We feel real ownership in seeing it develop into a can’t-miss event.”

However, Matrix is one of the key reasons why the event is possible each year, and 2025 is no exception. They will be among 60 directors for 2.5 days at The Chateaux Deer Valley in Park City, Utah, June 3-5, 2025. Attendees and sponsors will be tackling hot topics like crisis management, staffing nuances, managing up, AI in recreation and more.

“Matrix is strongly dedicated to sponsoring educational opportunities and they don’t come better than the Summit,” shared Peoples. “Each year it continues to exceed expectations.”

Of course, that education doesn’t just happen. Five campus recreation directors are heading up the 2025 topics to lend their knowledge and experience to the discussion. “We have a high-powered lineup in the newly announced Summit Roundtable Committee — Eric Smith, Tricia Bush, Laura Hall, Justin Cato and Stephanie Smith,” said Peoples. “As always, I’m eager to learn what university leaders are assessing and implementing. To me, this is the tell all. Many of the global fitness trends are directly influenced by what successes we’re seeing on college campuses.”

As stated above, Peoples is an active participant in the Summit. Attendees and sponsors alike talk, listen and share in order to benefit the industry. In fact, this is one of her favorite things about the event. “It’s difficult to pinpoint one thing but my favorite is listening and learning during our roundtables about real needs,” she said. “I now understand a supplier can step up to help find meaningful, tangible solutions beyond just providing product.”
