In the above video, tour the new Palomar Health Student Wellness Center at the University of San Diego (USD). The three-story, 80,000-square-foot facility is paired with 69,000 square feet of outdoor wellness space — all designed to prioritize movement, mindfulness and inclusion.
The center features:
- A 10,000-square-foot strength and cardio area with equipment from Matrix, Peloton, Precor, BeaverFit and VersaClimber.
- Multiuse studios for yoga, dance and martial arts.
- Basketball courts, a bouldering wall and an outdoor fitness gym.
- The Torero Gaming and Engagement Lounge, featuring:
- Console and PC gaming stations.
- Board games and tabletop game sets.
- Programs based on community building and digital wellness.
- Expansive outdoor turf and aquatics facilities for paddleboarding, kayaking and more.
- A Wellness Wing dedicated to mental, emotional and social well-being, featuring:
- Counseling and consultation rooms.
- The Rejuvenation Lab with infrared PEMF mats, nap pods and meditation swings.
- An art therapy zone.
- Telehealth booths.
- A teaching kitchen and juice bar.
- A locker lounge and private suites with individual stalls and showers.
- Dye-free, fragrance-free and eco-conscious wellness products.
- Low-stimulation zones.
