Leading functional fitness supply firm Aktiv Solutions and specialty furniture and flooring innovator GRID are set to introduce a new wave of smart fixtures and flooring solutions.

The companies have come together to develop a series of personal locker and technology-driven floor coverings with a focus on location and utilization within exercise spaces.

An evolution in material, colors and functionality designed to impact movement-based training spaces serves as the foundational focus of the new offering.

“Aktiv and GRID share a passion for amplifying the modernization of fitness facility exercise and user amenity spaces,” said Bryan Green, the founder and CEO of Aktiv Solutions. “We believe design and function are the primary pillars for successful facility development and differentiation. Together, we’re bringing to market a stronger technology-driven product base alongside our client-centric approach.”

The heart of the initiative features a fluid integration of new high-performance attributes and esthetics design to enhance user adoption and experience.

As the need for greater specialization grows in demand for health clubs, boutique studios, hotel fitness centers and corporate wellness spaces, the essentials of performance-specific flooring and personal storage continue to evolve.

“As the manufacturer, we pride ourselves in our unique ability to deliver scale and impact for leading health clubs across their entire footprint,” said Drew White, the president of GRID. “GRID’s ongoing commitment to innovation and client satisfaction extends to the in-facility experience they provide to their customers. Partnering with Aktiv enhances our reach towards emerging market facility types that are fast in need of higher quality facility resource.”
